Alison is a Registered Massage Therapist who graduated from the West Coast College of Massage Therapy in Victoria in 2009.

In her work, Alison focuses on releasing soft tissue restrictions, which allows for greater tissue mobility and flexibility. Improper movement patterns and immobility often affect the body as a whole, creating postural and muscle imbalances, which often lead to dysfunction and pain. The body has an inherent ability to heal and will constantly attempt to realign and restore balance on its own.

Alison's goal in treatment is to provide personalized care based on the patient's individual needs, and to assist them in achieving optimal health and function.  Alison's treatments are based on a holistic approach to address the root of the dysfunction rather than just the symptoms to provide long term resolution. Alison uses myofascial techniques to unwind body imbalances that have developed. She addresses these imbalances through using:

Myofascial Release Techniques                  Soft Tissue Release
Craniosacral Therapy                                      Muscle Energy Techniques
Stretching                                                            Joint Mobilizations

Alison encourages her patient's to be proactive in their healing process by educating them and customizing a home care regime that may include stretching, strengthening and remedial exercises to facilitate the recovery process.

Alison was born and raised in Victoria.  She loves living on the west coast and takes advantage of biking, camping, hiking and gardening year round.  She has a passion for cooking and spending time with her family.

Alison is a registered and active  member with College of Massage Therapists of BC.
